When everyone else is settling down after a long day, what do you do? Do you stay indoors and binge-watch Netflix or go out with your friends and have a blast? Your answer probably depends on the season. But what about your answer to the same question in your adult years? Do you settle down and be domesticated or continue exploring and finding new things to keep yourself happy? There’s no set-in-stone rule for how people or societies should live. And that is one of the biggest reasons why I’m excited about becoming an adult as much as I am excited about officially becoming an adult when I turn 29 next month. Of course, some people don’t even want to become adults because of all the responsibilities that come along with it. Instead, they would rather become something else, like an adult who is free to explore everything life has in store for them. That said, there are advantages to becoming an adult too. Whether it’s financial independence, increased freedom and autonomy, or more time to pursue activities that help keep you sane as well as happy…becoming an adult can help bring all of those things together into one place.

What I’m Working On: Designing Your Life My Way
My project
We all want to create a life that feels meaningful, productive, and purposeful. However, as we’re busy with daily tasks and responsibilities, it can be difficult to find the time and energy to think about how we want our future selves to live. To help you work towards creating a life that is aligned with your values, aspirations, and goals, we have an important question for you: What are your design principles? We believe that your life should be filled with activities that you love and that make you feel truly fulfilled. Working towards these goals often requires flexibility and learning how to carve out the time needed to implement your plans. And while there are many different ways to design your life, some people focus on cultivating their talents and interests while others opt for more hands-on activities. In this blog post, we’ll outline three specific design principles that will help you build a rewarding future self today.
Start with who you are
Getting to know yourself is an important step towards designing your life. One of the first steps to taking control of your life is learning to accept who you are. We all have different talents, skills, and interests, and understanding what makes you you is an important first step to designing a rewarding future self. It’s okay if you don’t know 100% what you want to do with your life. You can always choose to build on your current interests. It’s important to know yourself so you can truly understand your strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you love to write but find it difficult to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting, you may want to consider choosing an area that focuses more on writing.
Focus on what you love to do
People often choose to pursue a specific type of work because they enjoy the activities involved. On the other side, other people may choose to focus on a certain field because they love the tasks involved. There’s no right or wrong way to choose a career, but there are many benefits to choosing an area that you genuinely enjoy. Choosing a career that you love will make it easier to focus on your long-term goals and stay motivated. In order to stay inspired and motivated, it’s important to find a career path that sparks your interest. If you want to be in a career that you find genuinely rewarding, you’ll be more likely to make the effort to stay inspired.
Pursue your career goals
When you are in the process of identifying your career path, it’s important to think about where you want to be in 5-10 years. This process will help you identify your career goals. With your goals in mind, you can begin to think about what skills, talents, and experiences you’ll need to reach your goals. It’s important to be realistic when thinking about your career goals. You don’t have to choose a career that seems too far off or is unrealistic for your current skills, abilities, and experiences. It’s also important to think about how your career goals will change as you grow and develop. Your career path may change as you learn new skills or are offered a promotion.
Diversify your skills and talents
When you’re thinking about your career goals, you also want to think about diversifying your skill set. Even if you know that a specific skill or talent is a must for your career path, you may find that you don’t know much about the topic. It’s best to approach diversifying your skills and talents as you would exploring a new topic in school. Start with simple activities that you find fun and interesting. This will help to break down the topics you’re interested in and make it easier for you to retain the information you’re learning. If you’re looking to learn about a specific topic, try to think about what you’d like to know.
Take a break for yourself every now and then
In order to stay focused and motivated, you may find it helpful to take a break from your day-to-day activities. Often, when we’re busy working towards a specific goal, we forget to step back and take a break. A break can help you get perspective and remind you of why you’re working towards your future self. It’s easy to get caught in the moment and forget why you’re pursuing a specific path. A break can help you focus on the long-term goals again. There are many different ways to design your life, and it can be helpful to identify and work towards your design principles. By implementing a design principle into your current lifestyle, you can start to create a rewarding future self.
