fka twigs cellophane lyrics: There was a lot of hard work that went into making the video happen – on a creative level, on a business level, on a physical level […] It’s all very well me going and doing a three-minute routine, that’s easy. But the difficult thing is knowing that you have the stamina and the strength to do be able to do that three-minute routine for eight hours, and that’s something different.

I wrote the song probably just over a year ago, but I think the feeling for the song may be started a year before that. I was in a lot of solitude and everything just started to change in terms of my home life. That started to spread out into the clothes I was wearing… I went to a vintage fair and found this one dress, it was a white medieval dress. I just lived in it. I lived in that one dress for ages.

I isolated myself a lot, I was in LA and I was moving around LA by myself, I wasn’t talking to my friends or my family, really. I was just wandering around in these medieval dresses.

fka twigs cellophane lyrics

All wrapped in cellophane, the feelings that we had

[Chorus]
Didn’t I do it for you?
Why don’t I do it for you?
Why won’t you do it for me
When all I do is for you?[Refrain]
They wanna see us, wanna see us alone
They wanna see us, wanna see us apart
They wanna see us, wanna see us alone
They wanna see us, wanna see us apart[Verse]
And I just want to feel you’re there
And I don’t want to have to share our love
I try, but I get overwhelmed
When you’re gone, I have no one to tell
And I just want to feel you’re there
And I don’t want to have to share our love
I try, but I get overwhelmed
All wrapped in cellophane, the feelings that we had

They’re waiting
They’re watching
They’re watching us
They’re hating
They’re waiting
And hoping
I’m not enough
