2. Enter the marketplace
When you log in to Facebook you should notice a new ‘shop’ icon. If this is your first time seeing it, Facebook will alert you to this. Click the icon to proceed.To visit Marketplace, just tap on the shop icon at the bottom of the Facebook app and start exploring.
3. Add a photo
You will be prompted by Facebook to add a photo of the item you are selling. Unlike some online marketplaces, Facebook does not charge for adding multiple photos to listings. Make sure you add clear photos, and as many as you can to give the most information about the item.

4. Discover Items for Sale Near You
Marketplace opens with photos of items that people near you have listed for sale. To find something specific, search at the top and filter your results by location, category or price. You can also browse what’s available in a variety of categories such as Household, Electronics and Apparel. Use the built-in location tool to adjust the region you’re looking in, or switch to a different city altogether.
When you find something interesting, tap on the image to see more details from the seller, including a product description, the name and profile photo of the seller, and their general location. You can also save the item to find it later.

5. Decided that you want it
Send the seller a direct message from Marketplace to tell them you’re interested and make an offer. From that point on, you and the seller can work out the details in any way you choose. Facebook does not facilitate the payment or delivery of items in Marketplace.

6. Add a title
Next, Facebook will ask you to enter a title. Make sure your title is not too long and clearly states what you are selling. Facebook imposes a 100-character limit on the title.

7. Add a description
Now Facebook will ask you to add a description for your item. Include as much relevant detail as possible about your item, as Facebook recommends “condition, size, colour and more”.
8. Add a price
Facebook will need you to choose price for your item. This will be displayed in your local currency. You can edit this later if you like.

9. Add location and category
Now that Facebook has all the details for your item, it will need you to choose a location to advertise this in and a category that it best falls under.

10. Post Items for Sale in Just a Few Steps
Selling an item in Marketplace is just as easy as browsing for one. Simply:

- Enter a product name, description and price

11. Get Facebook Marketplace
Now anyone looking in your area can find your item and message you if they want to buy it.
You can also choose to post to Marketplace and a specific buy and sell group at the same time.
To keep track of all of your current and past transactions in Marketplace, visit the Your Items section.
There, you can view your saved items, products you’ve posted for sale, and all your messages with people.

12. Complete
If you have followed the guide correctly, Facebook will set your item to active so it will be visible to people. It will also take you to your items management area, where you can communicate with buyers and edit your items.
