The library has to be compatible with local zoning laws and in some places, homeowner association rules.

The building has to be one in which patrons want to browse.

If you plan to hold community events, such as story times, or to offer computer services.
You’ll need space for them too.

You’ll probably want plenty of outlets for powering up phones, tablets and laptops.
Divide the place into sections. Maybe the kids’ section on the left, etc.

Beyond that, you’ll need chairs and desks or tables for staff and patrons alike.

Decades ago, libraries checked books in and out by stamping a card in the back of the book.
Today’s libraries are computerized, tracking circulation, overdue books and adding new books digitally.
Computerized libraries are faster and more efficient.
Plus it’s easier for patrons to search the catalog.
However, they’re also more expensive.

This is to check on the library stands and keep them clean.

And familiar with library cataloging and organization.

6. Science Oriented Library:Know how to fund your business
Even if you can cover some of the startup costs.
An ongoing library project requires ongoing funding.
One way to do this is to establish a library foundation.
A foundation can accept tax-deductible donations on behalf of the library.
Foundations are also eligible for a wider range of grants than individuals or government libraries.
It also helps to have a “friends of the library” organization that raises money in the community.

Make sure that you keep on adding to your book library regularly.
By either buying or renting books.
