When and Where is the World Cup Final?

32 Teams Participating in the World Cup

A total of 32 teams will participate in the upcoming World Cup. Host nation Brazil qualified automatically. The other 31 teams qualified through a series of qualifying rounds and playoffs. The draw to determine groupings was held on December 1. Teams are broken down into eight groups of four teams each, with two teams from each group moving on to the knockout stage. The top two teams from each group will move on to the knockout stage, with the top team from each group earning a first-round bye.
